Council Delegate

The Somers PTA Council is an organization that coordinates and implements district-wide programs; therefore, representatives from each of the district’s five PTA organizations serve on the Council.  The Council Delegate votes and speaks on behalf of SEPTA during the monthly PTA Council meetings and is responsible for communicating to SEPTA's executive board and to the council any activities, issues or concerns.

The SEPTA council delegate for the 2008-2009 school year is Lisa Immerblum.

Membership

The Membership Chairperson manages the SEPTA membership list, collects membership dues, and issues membership cards.

The SEPTA membership chairperson for the 2008-2009 school year is Jackie Hickey.

If you're not already a SEPTA member, you can sign up by filling out and mailing the membership form. All parents and teachers are welcome to join SEPTA!

Mini-Grants

The Mini-Grant committee reviews and then presents to the executive board their recommendations on all applications received from teachers.  Costs for projects and programs that enhance special education and do not exceed $500 may be submitted for consideration by completing the mini-grant application form.

Forms for mini-grant requests are available in the FORMS section, or by contacting Liz See, Mini-Grant chairperson, through Ask the Elephant.
